A challenging weather forecast for Saturday means that we’re cancelling the Pursuit Challenge on November 16. Stay tuned for the date of the next Pursuit Challenge in January!

The last Pursuit Challenge continues! Join us for this fun one-lap trip around the lake.

The Captains meeting is at 12 pm, with the plan of starting the first boat around 12:30.

We plan to start the slower boats first and followed by the faster boats later. Each boat will get an individual start time to push off from our dock. We plan to do a large triangular course around the lake. Our course around the lake should be without a lot of or any tacking and will finish in front of our boat club. This should be a great sail for our larger Sailboats, but all are welcome to attend. We will have our customary pot-luck after the finish, so come and join us on Saturday, November 16.

On Saturday November 9th we will Hold our Annual Oyster Roast starting at 12:30 pm and follow with the Annual Meeting at 3:00 pm at the Club, 3100 Canal Cove Road, Lake Waccamaw, NC.

Rain or shine we will start with seafood bisque and any other favorites anyone decides to bring. The club will provide crackers, butter, cocktail sauce, hot sauce, horseradish, and oysters. All you need to bring is your shucking knife, favorite beverage, and optional dessert to join in. The charge will be $10 per person and $5 for kids. If you plan to attend the meal please email your intentions no later than Thursday and if you forget please still come, we will have extra.

The Annual Meeting will be held onsite at the Club following the Oyster Roast.

• Elections of 2019 class of Directors, sailing awards, year in review, and good fellowship is the order of the day.
• There will be reports on the damage repairs to the club facilities from Hurricane Florence
• The only scheduled item of business is the election of members of the Board Directors.
