Keelboat Racing: May 06

Come out for the first keelboat race of the year! This is a special ‘keelboat’ only race, and ONLY monohulls of at least 19′ in length, using either a fixed keel, swing keel, centerboard, or daggerboard are welcome to take part in the races.

This promises to be a fun event, and there will surely be some excitement at the start line. Let’s show those catamaran folks how it’s done.

First race starts at 3PM (meeting at 2PM), and we hope to see you there. We will have our customary pot-luck after the races, so come and join us on Saturday, 06-May!

Club Races: April 22

The 2017 Club Racing series is underway… come join us for an afternoon of racing!

Our next club race is scheduled for SATURDAY, April 22. Captain’s meeting at 2pm.

It is our tradition to bring an appetizer to share and whatever beverage you wish. Join us for the fun and a few lies from sailors as to how well they sailed that day! This is a great opportunity to invite a potential members to visit.

Spring Clean Up on April 8th

The 2017 season is approaching fast . Our spring clean up is scheduled for Saturday April 8th starting at 9am. There will be lots of raking, tree trimming, plumbing, painting, and general clean up work for everyone. Tools will be available but you are encouraged to bring your own.

A lunch will be provided consisting of hotdogs, chips, baked beans, and slaw. Cake or dessert is welcome if you can provide. Please confirm food you plan to bring to myself by phone or email.

After lunch we will have a 30-45 minute seminar to familiarize anyone interested in learning how to assist on the race committee boat. We will review how to set a course, starting sequence, scoring, and safety procedures. This is a great way to learn how you can support sailing at WSC.
