The WSC membership and annual stockholders meeting will be held on November 12, 2016 at 6 PM.

The meeting will be held at Columbus County Arts Council building in downtown Whiteville located at 822 South Madison Street (2 blocks south of the railroad) located across from Sherwin Williams Paint Store.

Dinner will be catered and is likely to cost $12 per person, children $6. Wine and cheese reception is free!

Program may include photoshow of WSC activities and Lake Waccamaw information. Elections of 2017 class of Directors, sailing awards, year in review, and good fellowship is the order of the day.

Come prepared to talk about enticements to greater participation in 2017. The only scheduled item of business is the election of members of the Board Directors.

!!!!!!!     Indian Summer Regatta for 2016 has been cancelled      !!!!!!!

Thanks to Hurricane Matthew, we will be cancelling the Indian Summer Regatta for 2016. We waited as long as we could to see if the storm would weaken or otherwise dissipate, and although it is veering away from the NC coast, the weekend forecast still sees steady winds in the mid-20’s and gusts to the 40’s and 50’s. A bit much.

BUMMER!

Thank you for considering racing in our regatta, and for those who have already paid your registration fee, we will providing refunds shortly.

We do have regatta t-shirts for sale, if anyone is interested. You can never have enough t-shirts…

The Indian Summer Regatta will be held this year on October 8-9 at Lake Waccamaw, NC. We’re looking forward to a great turnout again this year!

There’s plenty of space for camping, RV’s, hot showers, and a full kitchen at your disposal. Support boats will be on site, and there should be plenty of staff on-hand.

Saturday’s dinner is shaping up to be a pig pickin’ with the usual southern sides and Swedish apple pie, and possibly more!
