Fall Cleanup Day is Saturday September 26 Starting at 8:30 AM Lunch Provided Afterward

Fall cleanup day is scheduled at Waccamaw Sailing Club for Saturday September 26 beginning at 8:30 AM, so we will look our best for Indian Summer

A complete list of cleanup projects is still being developed, but they will generally fall into these major areas:

  1. Back lot cleanup & organization: headed by John Chlossey 2 additional people needed- Duties include- moving boats & trailers for better organization and clearing trees & brush. Please bring any tools that may help in these areas
  2. Front lot projects, cleanup & organization. Headed by TBD- likey Sean. Projects related to maintenance of front lot, pavilion, deck, stairs from deck to beach need to be rebuilt and leader will be assigning other projects. 4+ people needed. Carpentry & cleaning tools helpful.
  3. Beach Cleaning– Headed by Beth Cribb 4+ People needed. Bring yard work tools such as rakes. gloves. Blower, trimmer wheel barrow etc. 
  4. Secure ladder at end of dock. Headed by Russell at least 1 other person needed Other dock projects may be added including replacing fire hose bumper as needed
  5. Create pad for new fuel locker– Headed by Thomas at least 1 other person needed. Also fill fracks in launch ramp (Don will supply concrete mix) 
  6. Lunch Prep & Cleanup Headed by Carol Lawlor at least 2 people needed, for setup & cleanup. We will need food donations 2-3 side dished and 2-3 desserts. Club bill provide burgers, dogs & drinks

We may send out another email as projects develop. We will also try to post a list at the club this weekend.

If you have ideas for projects, or want to do a project better suited to a time when club is not crowded (power washing comes to mind) or want to help out but cannot come on Saturday, please let me know.
