Indian Summer Lite, Anyone?
It was hard, but the right decision to cancel Indian Summer. And although Saturday and Sunday were much better that what had been forecast earlier in the week, there was much clean up to be done. By now I’m sure you’ve seen the pictures on Facebook of the 3 boats (one of them mine) that broke loose and beached themselves, and the big tree limbs that took out part of the deck railing and John’s Scow mast
But I’m happy to say we are rescheduling for October 22 & 23 and calling it Indian Summer Lite.
We are planning a day of racing on Saturday and a pursuit style “around the lake” on Sunday (weather permitting, of course).
This event will be free for all who want to attend.
We will have a pot luck dinner on Saturday and much fun & companionship.
All who want to sail in the pursuit should email me to let me know what they will be sailing so I can assign you a handicapped start time. I hope to have a list of the start times to email out the day before, but everyone is welcome to just come out and sail the course.
Earlier today I emailed everyone who had registered for Indian Summer to let them know we are refunding all entry fees and inviting them to this free event.
As always we will be looking for volunteers for race committee on Saturday 10/22. Please email Philippe or me
Smooth Sailing.
